11 heads of plaster

In 1967, a man named Eugenia Alvarez bought in Mexico a lot of 11 heads of stucco with traces of red paint and blue. This batch was sold in 1982 to the philanthropist and art collector Morton D. May that when you die, donated to the art museum of Saint Louis.

These heads are in good state of conservation, and can be seen still in its original colors.

The heads were clearly looted, so you can’t set or its context, or its origin. Neither can we establish the consequences of the damage that was done to the place where they were looted.
