The Dresden codex is the best preserved of the three mayan codices currently known. It was written by six scribes different, each with its own theme, writing style, and glyphs.
The codex contains astronomical tables of an extraordinary precision. It is particularly famous for its lunar series, cycles venusians and the cycles of Mars.
Also contains almanacs, astronomical tables and astrological, schedules and rituals, and it includes instructions on ceremonies of the new year, as well as descriptions of the towns associated with the deity of the rain.
Even if you already have a pretty clear idea of all of its content, there are still parts to decipher and, above all, understand the way in which these almanacs functioned within the maya way of life.
