According to Virginia’s Miller writes in the journal Archaeology Mexican, it is possible that the idea of building platforms permanent stone to display the skulls from the maya Terminal Classic; of Chichen Itza, specifically, because it is the first known place of Mesoamerica, where they have found frames for skulls with reliefs carved.
