The pyramidal structure of Tonina

The pyramidal structure of Tonina is one of the complex’s largest and most impressive of the mayan culture, the central pyramid of the Acropolis is the largest in Mexico, with a façade that covers 320 square, in the northeast corner of 62 metres in height and front-to-front reaches a height of 75 meters.

The Acropolis of Tonina has a central staircase with 260 steps (260 is a number sacred in the mayan cosmovision), which crosses the seven platforms and the 13 temples in the cusp.
In addition to being a massive place, it is also one of settlements oldest inhabited from the first century until the SIXTEENTH century with some intervals of unemployment.
