
The Puuc style is one of the five major architectural styles of the maya
This style spread in what is now corresponds to the west of the Yucatán and the north-east of Campeche.
The word puuc means, in yucatec mayan, sierra , or mountain range of low hills. As well described in its name, is an area of small hills, with no rivers and few cenotes but with a good proportion of fertile land.
