Scarification

Scarification in the mayan culture was a symbol of beauty and power.
In the pre-hispanic period consisted of making incisions in the skin with obsidian or flint, after introducing small stones.

Have found examples in the West of Mexico, in the culture Huasteca, and in the maya area.
