Obsidian in the maya area

Have been found as artifacts of obsidian in the maya area multiple uses, from the home and medical, to the religious and military.
It is known that it was used for the development of tools such as knives to cut plant fibers, feathers, woods, and leathers; to make scrapers of maguey; drillers of leather, bone and wood.
It is also used for carving arrowheads, dart, lance and knives of various shapes. Warriors, priests, and gods carrying objects of obsidian, like necklaces, earrings, bezotes and scepters; it also made urns, and sculptures with this material.
