Palenque, without doubt, was one of the cities most beautiful of the classic period, was the seat of the kingdom Baakal and home of one of the kings most famous of the maya history: Pakal the Great.

The artist Anxo Miján Maroño in collaboration with NatGeo and experts Andrés Armesto, Alejandro Soriano-Carlos Paz and Diego Blanco, took on the task of rebuilding the city, with its original colors and its former splendor.
