This figure is quite interesting and enigmatic, we see a man sitting in the lotus position with a mask in his lap. The mask is interestingly very similar to his own face. This could have some philosophical meaning of which we do not have certainty.

Among the mesoamericans, there was the idea of having ‘faces sages and hearts firm’. The faces firm adquirian by means of education and good acting. It is likely that this figure is a representation of how the human being has his ‘face’ on their hands. Or to put it another way, you have the destiny in their hands, may be firm and wise thanks to the act in the correct way.
