
Chaac, the mayan god of rain, it was usually depicted with a long nose tilted upward. It was one of the principal deities as rain played a major role in the life of mesoamerica.
According to the stories, the god dwelt in the caves, or cenotes, which are also associated with the entrances to the underworld.
