This beautiful vase was painted some time between the century VII and VIII.
Is painting by using the ‘codex-style’, that is to say, is painting in a way that tells a story confirm the vessel is moving (a kind of comic old)
The inscription at the top refers to ‘raise the cup’ in honor of the owner of the vessel. While the figures illustrate as Chaac, the rain god (image 1) break the sky with his axe (image 2) that the god of the corn dance happily (image 3), and rain (in the form of a serpent, image 4) to go down to the world.
If we interpret the full glass, we can say that means: ‘we lift the cup for the owner of this vessel, and we celebrate the world continue to renew, as the rain renews the corn’
