Axe stucco anthropomorphic clouds

Axe stucco anthropomorphic clouds, belongs to the Classical Period. Found on the Pacific Coast of Guatemala.

We can see half of the face of probably an old man, on the cheeks it has wrinkles. It is also visible in the nose, mouth and ear.
The “axes” are objects of stone, usually depicting animal heads, heads of warriors and nobles, skulls or abstract figures.
They are called axes by its form, not by its use.
The axes are associated with the ball game. Apparently, it could have been used as markers laptops in the field of play or as accessories to the computer of the player, attached to a chunky belt by means of tapes that were put in the holes, although the material may have been another, and the stone were a representation.
